STRATEGY RESEARCH FORUM 2006 May 11 - 13 -CURRENT (last updated 5/1/06) PROGRAM- Getting There 1) Local map and directions to the hotel or using your preferred online mapping software enter in a destination of 72 Bremen Avenue in Egg Harbor City, NJ 08215-2400. Technically it’s North Bremen Avenue but mapping software seems to have it as just Bremen. 2) The closest major airport is Philadelphia (~50 minutes by car) followed by Newark (2 hours by car). It’s also possible to fly to Atlantic City (not many cheap flights here though). From the airport, you can rent a car (see 1) or take the train (see 3). Car rentals would facilitate transportation to offsite dinners. 3) You can take New Jersey transit rail from Philadelphia’s 30th Street (Amtrak) Station to Egg Harbor City ($6.75 for 1 ¼ hours). See http://www.njtransit.com/sf_tr_schedules.shtml for schedule information for the train. You could easily combine air & rail as there is a rail link ($5 for a 20 minute ride running every 30 minutes) from Philadelphia airport to Philadelphia’s train station as well as from Newark airport to Philadelphia’s train station (more $ more time here though). If you choose to arrive in Egg Harbor City by rail, we can arrange a taxi to meet you at the train station for the short drive to the hotel. 4) You could also try to book a shuttle from Philadelphia or Newark airports from AK Olson Company at 609-624-8100 but this will be pricey unless you coordinate arrival times with other SRFers and share the costs. Miscellaneous Logistics 1) There will be a conference fee assessed for the room rental and for meals on Friday & Saturday. The exact amount of this fee has not yet been determined but it will be payable to the conference host (Witold Henisz) via check or cash at the conference. I will be happy to provide a quasi-official receipt. 2) Hotel room charges, Thursday dinner, alcohol at dinners, transportation and incidental expenses are attendees’ own responsibility. 3) The meeting room will be equipped with an LCD and overhead projector. 4) If you have any additional questions or concerns, please let me know via email (henisz@wharton.upenn.edu) and I will address them as promptly as I can.
