Current research in this area:

Klein, K.J., Kozlowski, S. W. J., & Xiao, Y.  Leadership:  Enhancing team adaptability in dynamic settings.  This three-year study, funded by the Army Research Institute, combines research in a real-life dynamic setting (the Baltimore Shock Trauma Center) and in a controlled laboratory setting (the Michigan State University ADAPT Laboratory).  We are examining the ways in which leaders may enhance individuals’ and teams’ ability to perform adaptively in highly dynamic settings.

J., Carberry, E., Bates, A., Ramesh, A., & Rosen, C.  When employees receive stock options:  What do they know and how do they respond?   Supported by the National Center for Employee Ownership and Watson Wyatt Worldwide, we are examining employee understanding of, interpretation of, and satisfaction with stock options.  We are now analyzing data from over 1700 employees in 17 companies that distribute options to the majority of employees.
